Sjoerd Beck, M.P.H., M.D., F.C.C.P.

Dr. Beck joined our practice in 2001 after pulmonary and critical care positions in California and Maryland. He completed a Pulmonary Fellowship at LA County- USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, California after internship and residency at the Georgetown Medical Service at DC General Hospital in Washington DC. He is a graduate of Groningen University Medical School in his native Holland, and holds a Masters of Public health degree from UCLA in Los Angeles, CA. Barring the eradication of smoking, his main focus is on reducing the impact of lung disease on people’s lives by compassionate and state of the art care. He is married and the proud father of two sons. He enjoys being with his family, the outdoors, and watching team sports, admiring what it takes to get there.
Adil Degani, M.D.

Dr. Degani joined our practice in 2012 after completing a sleep medicine fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. His Pulmonary Critical Care training was performed at the Medical College of Georgia and he completed his residency training at Mercer University. His medical degree is from Spartan University in the Caribbean and his undergraduate background in Kinesiology is from York University in his hometown of Toronto, Canada.
He is married to Yasmin, who grew up in Southern Maryland. Their two young sons keep their lives full of excitement. In his spare time, he enjoys reading graphic novels, traveling and photography.
Keith Goulet, D.O.
Board Certifications: Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine
Dr. Goulet joined the practice in 2010. He grew up in Maine and Connecticut. He attended the University of New England and majored in medical biology and minored in chemistry. He then attended the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh, where he also served as Chief Medical Resident. He completed his Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia. His interests include endobronchial ultrasound and diseases of the chest and critical care medicine.
Dr. Goulet lives in Annapolis with his wife, two children, and three dogs. In his spare time he enjoys boating, fishing, skating, and playing with his children. He has yet to catch his first trophy striped bass.
Steven C. Resnick, M.D., F.C.C.P.

Dr. Resnick joined our practice in 1998 after completing his Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep training at UCLA. Dr. Resnick received a B.S. degree in Biology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. For medical school he attended the University of Maryland in Baltimore.
He is a Maryland native, growing up in Baltimore. He and his spouse Bruce, a behavioral health social worker, have a son.
Ira M. Weinstein, M.D., F.C.C.P.

Dr. Weinstein joined the practice in 1989 after completing his Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at the University of South Florida, in Tampa. Dr. Weinstein is originally from Kingston, N.Y. His undergraduate work was completed at Brandeis location in Waltham, Massachusetts. His Medical degree was granted by SUNY-Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, N.Y. He traveled to Medical College of Virginia for his medicine residency. He is the medical director of the sleep lab at Anne Arundel Medical Center. He is married to Sandy, a nurse, and is the proud father of three girls. He enjoys music and playing in a rock and roll band.
Howard S. Young, M.D., F.C.C.P.

Dr. Young joined us in 2002 after completing his Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia. The first year of his fellowship was at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.He received his under graduate degree in history at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. He received his medical degree and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia. His Pulmonary interests include lung cancer and interventional and advanced diagnostic bronchoscopy. He is a regular member of the AAMC Thoracic Oncology program.
Dr. Young is originally from New York but grew up in Washington, DC. His hobbies include, playing with his two children, DC sports teams, and learning to sail.
Aimee Y. Yu, M.D., F.C.C.P.

Dr. Yu graduated cum laude from Barnard College in New York City after completing studies in biochemistry, English literature, and philosophy. She then attended medical school at New York University and completed her residency training at the same institution. Dr. Yu joined the practice in 1999 after completing her fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins University where she also did research in molecular biology.
